From individual metering points to complex multi-site energy portfolios. COREU EMS covers real-time consumption monitoring, power quality analysis, demand forecasting and automated demand response strategies.
Aligned with EU Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) requirements. Built-in reporting for ISO 50001 audits and automatic interval data export to DSOs.
Yes. Most COREU deployments are retrofits. Our KNX gateways and IoT modules are designed to integrate with existing wiring and SCADA systems, minimising disruption. We typically perform a site survey and produce a compatibility report before any hardware is ordered.
The city platform natively supports MQTT, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, Sigfox, REST/HTTP and AMQP. Legacy SCADA integration is available via OPC-UA and Modbus TCP adapters. Custom adapters can be developed under a professional services engagement.
No. COREU offers three deployment models: cloud-hosted (EU region), hybrid (edge + cloud sync), and fully on-premise. For public sector clients and critical infrastructure we typically recommend hybrid or on-premise for data sovereignty reasons.
A single-building KNX project typically runs 6–12 weeks from kick-off to go-live. City platform pilots are usually 8–16 weeks. Full enterprise rollouts are scoped individually. All projects include a formal PoC phase before full deployment is approved.
COREU designs and manufactures its own gateway and metering hardware, paired with proprietary firmware and cloud software — ensuring end-to-end quality control.
The CRX-GW bridges KNX TP, KNX IP, Modbus RTU/TCP, BACnet and MQTT onto a single edge compute node with local automation logic and encrypted cloud uplink.

Founded in the Netherlands in 2017, COREU was built by engineers who wanted to close the gap between industrial IoT capability and real-world deployability in European buildings and cities.
COREU was founded in Amsterdam in 2017 by a team of KNX-certified building automation engineers and IoT software developers. The original mission was simple: build an integration layer that could bridge the legacy KNX world with modern cloud dashboards without sacrificing reliability.
Over time, clients began asking for more — smart city sensor networks, energy management systems, multi-site reporting. We expanded the platform and the team accordingly, always keeping hardware and software development in-house to maintain quality control.
Today COREU serves public sector clients, listed real-estate portfolios and industrial facilities across 14 EU countries. We remain privately held and engineering-led.
COREU products and processes are designed for the most demanding EU regulatory environments.
All hardware is CE-marked. Energy metering products carry MID (2014/32/EU) certification. Declarations of conformity available on request.
Cloud infrastructure hosted exclusively in EU (AWS eu-west-1 + eu-central-1). Data processing agreements available. Annual DPA audit.
Quality management (ISO 9001:2015) and information security (ISO 27001:2022) certifications. Audit reports available under NDA for enterprise clients.
COREU works with a network of certified installation partners, system integrators and resellers across Europe.
